Percy Jackson The Lighting Thief (Book Review)

"You shall go west, and face the god who has turned, you shall find what was stolen, and see it safely returned, you shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend, and you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end."

"My name is Percy Jackson. I'm twelve years old. until a few months ago, I was a boarding student at Yancy Academy, a private school for troubled kids in upstate New York. Am I a troubled kid? yeah. you could say that"

The journey this book led me on is too hard to describe. from laughing and smiling to being frightened and not knowing what will happen next. Percy Jackson is such a good character along with Grover and Annabeth. They are probably my favorite trio and I enjoyed every bit of this book.

The Greek mythology in this book is amazing and so intriguing. Even Percy's sword itself is fascinating. The mythical creatures and monsters are so cool. and you never know when a monster is going to appear... or how.  I couldn't put this book down and it only took me a day to read! I've read it twice and the feeling I got from reading it the first time was the exact same. The trio journies to Hades domain to take back Zeus's lightning bolt and the journey is a thriller! monsters coming out trying to stop them and epic battles!? There is so much in this book and I enjoyed every chapter! Grover is a cool and sweet character. Annabeth is a strong and fun one and Percy... is a seaweed brain and I love his character so much.

I rate this book 10/10 and recommend it for ages 12+  Hope you all decide to read it!
